Weekend cont…

Danny was in America, so I decided to head to my parents house. My dad had come to pick me up from the train station (dad’s taxi) and on my way my cousin Rhea had messaged me to say she was at my parents. I came through the door and there she was all posed with a ring on her finger!! Whaaattt!! I was completely speechless. I was literally welling up about to cry. I am so happy for her and Dan. He had proposed to her in greatest way and she had no idea.

Congratulations Rhea and Dan!

Epic Cake!

It was Rhea’s birthday at the weekend and every Tuesday my mum has “Tuesday Club” where we have my Grandma and a few family friends over as well as me and Rhea. Dan asked if I could get a cake to surprise her for Tuesday club… Well I did one better and thought I would make her a cake. Now I’ve made cakes before but I decided to try a rainbow cake out. I had never done a rainbow cake before so didn’t realise how long it would take. It literally took 4 hours! I was having to cook 2 at a time letting them cool before I could put anything on them. Me and my mum had a laugh trying to throw sprinkles on the side of the cake because I really didn’t plan that part very well 😀 so I was cutting it pretty fine but it turned out really good and super tasty! Happy Birthday Rhea!

Family Day Out :)

It’s been a really hot spring and summer so far and we decided to go out for some fresh air and soak up some sun.

We went and did a bit of shopping and then headed to one of our favourite places, Bradgate Park.

Bradgate Park is one of those places that everyone loves, and its the first place I think of when the suns out. So that’s where we headed.

It was such a gorgeous day and we decided to bring Poppy along with us. It was great and I can’t wait to go again!

We decided to get Thea Christened and have a gathering after to get friends and family together. It just happened that her christened was the same date as our wedding which made it feel really special. It was such a brilliant day and was so nice to see her Godparents love her as much as we do. Sadly one of the godparents Alice couldn’t be their but she managed to come down a couple of weeks before and get a blessing to be her Godmother which was extra special.

Me Time…

My amazing mum knows me so well and on Christmas Day she handed my last present.

I opened it up and it was Sam Smith’s new album (Love Him!) along with a card hmmm……

OH MY GOSH! I would of literally jumped up and down if I could but I had a big old preggo belly! (Love how Sam’s handwriting looks identical to my mums :D)

Well Last night mumma and me drove to Sheffield to see him in concert! It was amazing, It was so wonderful to spend some time with just me and mum. We went out for dinner first and then made way to our seats. The concert was fantastic and I was buzzing.

It was the first time I had left Thea, she was with Danny and I had managed to express milk so I knew she would be in safe hands.

It was honestly just what I needed, so thank you mumma for the amazing experience!

Saturday 13th January: Part 2

Part 2 of my day, I put some makeup on and got dressed. My mum and dad left for a bit so I could get ready and then my mum came back on her own to pick me up. I got in the car and she drove me to one of my favourite little places to visit, It has a garden centre and some quaint little shops around and the cafe is nice and cosy with lovely food.

I walked in and my incredible cousin Rhea had thrown me a surprise baby shower. Bless Rhea, Our grandad had just passed away and their she was keeping the mood up and making me smile whilst entertaining everyone. She had asked my best friends to come and other close friends and family members and Danny’s mum was there too. I sat down at the table and their she sat, My amazing grandma, this lady has just lost her husband and here she was. I stood up and gave her a massive hug and whispered I love you, She put a brave face on for others, but I knew what she was feeling. My other lovely cousin Hayleigh was there too, Also very upset but making sure I was happy and keeping my mind off the sad news.

I was so shocked, honestly Rhea had done an amazing job, so much thought into everything. I turned to my mum and was still in complete surprise, she gave me the biggest hug and I could feel her love pour into me, she just wants me to be happy and enjoy my day.

We had afternoon tea and games as well as predicting what the baby’s gender, weight and date of birth will be.

The day went lovely considering, I couldn’t have asked for a nicer baby shower and I received lovely gifts and was showered with love.

Thank you to my friends and family for such a lovely baby shower!
