I’ve seen a lot in the media recently about breastfeeding and how it offends some people (really?) I honestly don’t care how you feed your baby wether it be by breast or bottle.
I always wanted to give breastfeeding a go because in my opinion I wanted to give my baby the best of the best but if I couldn’t do it I wasn’t going to beat myself up over it.
I would obviously ask for help and seek advice as when I start something I like to follow it through. But I’m also not prepared to let my baby starve. I don’t have a problem with seeing people breastfeed even before I was pregnant.
I’m so use to breastfeeding now that it’s just second nature to me, but admittedly at first I was worried, even scared in public. What will people think, what if my muslin cloth slips and the whole world will see my boob (God Forbid!)
At home I don’t cover up (whats the point) and in certain company I don’t because I know they don’t mind but still sometimes get a bit uneasy around others. At the end of the day I’m just feeding my baby and if people have a problem with that then that’s their problem not mine.
So here’s to those ladies that choose to breastfeed, Well done you! It can be really tough.
